布朗：被交易并没有太惊讶 但对离队的整个过程感到失望

北京时间8月7日，76人今日为新援杰伦-布朗召开新闻发布会。布朗表示，当得知自己被从凯尔特人交易至76人时，“并没有太惊讶”，因为在为凯尔特人效力的10年间，他早已屡次听到自己的名字出现在交易传闻中。不过，他对凯尔特人的处理方式和沟通方式感到失望。
“我只是选择专注于我该关注的事情。显然，这个休赛期，事情的激烈程度比以往都要高一些，我觉得人们在攻击我的品格。甚至有人说我得了某种病，”布朗谈到凯尔特人在交易谈判中将他作为扬尼斯-安特托昆博的筹码，最终却将他送到了上赛季季后赛首轮击败他们的同区对手时说道。
当被问及“整个事件的处理方式”中什么让他感到不满时，“整个过程，”布朗说道。
“说实话，这段时间确实很疯狂，但这一切都并非完全出乎意料。尽管其中一些言论来自外界，但在内部以及通过球队管理层等渠道，其实早有相关讨论……然后显然被交易到76人——这支过去10年来一直是我们的劲敌——这也算是一个过程。
“虽然经历了很多，但大家每天都在应对这些。人们必须适应变化、搬迁、比赛。我并不是在抱怨。但事情就是这样。所以，让我们开始吧。”
