北京时间7月29日，2026年WTA500华盛顿站女单首轮，中国金花王欣瑜对阵本土资格赛小将帕雷哈。王欣瑜以7-6(3)和6-3连赢两盘，其中首盘连续挽救3个盘点抢七逆转，最终王欣瑜总分2-0横扫晋级16强，王欣瑜取得北美硬地赛季开门红。

王欣瑜世界排名第42名，帕雷哈世界排名第309名，通过资格赛突围晋级正赛。

本场双方迎来生涯首交锋，首盘比赛双方前六局比赛各自保发维持3-3，王欣瑜连破带保连赢两局，前两局比赛扩大5-3领先优势。帕雷哈连保带破再保发连赢三局，王欣瑜第12局挽救3个盘点保发追到6-6，王欣瑜抢七大战7-3胜出，从而以7-6（3）先赢一盘。
