TA：掘金已向佩顿-沃特森开出了一份五年7000万合同

北京时间7月28日，据The Athletic报道，掘金已经向受限制自由球员佩顿-沃特森提供了一份5年7000万美元的合同。消息人士表示，密尔沃基雄鹿、亚特兰大老鹰和洛杉矶快船也有兴趣通过潜在的先签后换方式得到沃特森。
因此，掘金将面临一场微妙的权衡，他们长期以来一直表示非常重视沃特森，而沃特森也正处于寻求第二份NBA合同的重要阶段。由于决定匹配雷霆为琼斯开出的报价合同，掘金目前的薪资总额已经进入第二土豪线范围。据联盟消息人士透露，丹佛正在尝试交易一到两份合同，以回到第二土豪线以下，并腾出足够的薪资空间留住沃特森。
第二土豪线是在2023年新版劳资协议中引入的薪资门槛（本赛季大约为2.22亿美元），一旦球队薪资超过这一线，将触发多项阵容构建限制。
多支球队已经向沃特森提出了先签后换方案，但截至目前，掘金的要价一直很高。沃特森在2025-26赛季迎来了突破性表现。他场均得到接近15分，并且在尼古拉-约基奇——这位三届MVP球员——因伤缺席中段16场比赛期间，打出了一段出色表现。
