莫兰特：我已经更加成熟 无论是首发还是替补都会接受

北京时间7月12日，据ESPN报道，在今夏的一笔重磅交易中，开拓者送出前锋杰拉米·格兰特和克里斯·穆雷，交易得到现年26岁的莫兰特。
“新的家，新的球队，新的球队文化，”莫兰特身穿印有开拓者队徽的黑色Polo衫，在拉斯维加斯夏季联赛期间接受几位记者采访时说道，“我可以向开拓者的球迷展现一个不一样的贾·莫兰特。这就像一切重新开始一样……这些年来，我成长了很多，也学到了很多。我的心态已经改变了，现在我会以不同的方式去面对很多事情。我觉得自己更加成熟了，也已经准备好投入工作。”
上赛季，莫兰特场均得到19.5分和8.1次助攻，但由于伤病影响，他只出战了20场比赛。他表示，自己的身体状态非常好，并补充说，在交易流言不断发酵的过去四个月里，自己一直“确保身体保持最佳状态，并持续训练”。
尽管开拓者目前后场人员十分拥挤，但莫兰特表示，无论是担任首发还是替补，他都愿意接受。同时，他也对能够与利拉德、霍勒迪和阿夫迪亚等人并肩作战感到兴奋。本周在拉斯维加斯期间，他已经与几位新队友进行了交流。
“这些队友很可能都会帮助我开发比赛中新的一面，而我也会帮助他们做到同样的事情，”莫兰特说道，“我不认为我们同时在场，或者如何分配上场时间，会成为任何问题。我们都是非常无私的球员。”
