北京时间8月10日，据知名记者Zach Lowe分析，虽然凯斯勒对于湖人而言是一笔不错的补强，但湖人为了完成这笔重磅交易所付出的资产，最终可能会损害球队的未来。这位NBA专家认为，引进凯斯勒甚至可能迫使湖人在未来与奥斯汀-里夫斯分道扬镳。
“我喜欢沃克-凯斯勒这名球员，”Zach Lowe在节目中说道，“大家可以回去听听我之前做过的那期节目，我在那里解释了为什么我认为凯斯勒在攻防两端都能够和湖人形成不错的适配。”
