鲍威尔：我一直以为能与热火续约 但字母哥的交易改变了局面

北京时间8月10日，公牛后卫诺曼鲍威尔接受了Mark Medina的专访，期间他谈到了自己休赛期自由球员的决定，直言字母哥的交易最终导致了他无法重返热火。
“说实话，我整个赛季都认为自己会回到热火，”鲍威尔直言不讳，“我们知道他们想得到字母哥，也听到过一些消息，比如‘鲍威尔和字母哥的组合听起来很不错’。所以我认为那可能就是未来方向。
“但当交易真正摆上谈判桌时，那是在赛季期间，我并不了解背后的具体讨论。我不知道雄鹿方面的立场。但看起来他们的态度像是：‘如果你想要字母哥，就必须接手鲍比-波蒂斯。’我认为这和联盟劳资协议规则以及硬工资帽限制有关，包括送出薪资和接收薪资的问题。在我看来，这让情况变得非常困难。当然，我也可能完全错了。”
最终，身为自由球员的鲍威尔以一份两年4500万美元的合同加盟芝加哥公牛。
“如果他们真的想做，他们本可以完成一些操作。他们需要让维金斯放弃球员选项，接受低于3000万美元的薪资，同时还需要处理尼古拉-约维奇。但球队会按照自己的意愿行动……所以事情并不是那么简单，”鲍威尔补充道。
