赛前，郑钦文曾表示自己的巅峰状态还没有到来，她称自己渐渐找回了赢球的感觉。目前，郑钦文世界排名第123位，而伊埃拉则是排名第28位。
本场比赛，郑钦文开局手感不佳，上来就被破发，第一盘0-2落后。随后，郑钦文强势逆袭。第7局，郑钦文再次破发。6-4，郑钦文拿下了首盘。
第二盘，郑钦文一度4-3领先，但马上被伊埃拉回破。接下来，伊埃拉破掉了郑钦文非保不可的发球局。4-6，郑钦文丢掉一盘。双方进入决胜盘。
